Dear KTY Student or Parent,
We have had a few enquiries regarding the respiratory illness Novel Coronavirus. We are following the Australian Government Department of Health guidelines.
Currently in Australia, people most at risk of contracting the virus are people who have:
You need to isolate yourself in the following circumstances:
Please read the complete guidelines on the Department of Health web page here
Importantly, regardless of a person's ethnic origin, the only way one can catch Novel Coronavirus is to have been in close contact with someone who has Novel Coronavirus and is symptomatic. Currently, we understand that there have been 12 confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus in all of Australia; all of which were contracted in mainland China and are now in infectious diseases wards of our fantastic hospital system. As an open, integrated community, it is important to us that this issue does not descend into a racist issue where people who are of Asian appearance are targeted as "potential carriers".
We are following this issue closely, and will update any policies in accordance with the Australian Government Department of Health guidelines.
If you do need to self-isolate for any of the reasons above, we will adjust your invoice for dance classes or allow you to make up classes at your choice. Please send details of travel documentation or medical certificate through to info@PROTECTED
We hope this pandemic passes quickly and as painlessly as possible and look forward to seeing you at dancing soon!
Kind Regards,
The KTY Team
